Terms of Service
Effective: 17 September 2026 · Last updated: 17 September 2026
This is the agreement between you and Cannon Code Connect for using Tamsin. By creating an account or using the service, you accept it. If you do not accept it, do not use Tamsin — and if something here seems unreasonable, write to us rather than signing up unhappy.
The one that matters most: Tamsin never submits an application for you. It finds roles worth your time, writes the documents, and fills in the answers. Then it stops, and you decide. There is no setting that changes this, no "auto-apply" mode, and no plan that unlocks one. If you ever see Tamsin appear to submit something on your behalf, that is a bug and we want to hear about it immediately.

1. Who you are contracting with
Tamsin is operated by Cannon Code Connect ("we", "us"), based in Texas, United States. "You" means the person using Tamsin. Tamsin is offered in the United States only and is for your own personal job search — not for use on behalf of someone else, and not as a service you resell.
2. What Tamsin does — and does not
What it does. Tamsin reads publicly posted jobs against your résumé and your stated preferences, gives you a ranked shortlist with its reasoning, writes a tailored résumé and cover letter for roles you pick, prepares the answers an application form will ask for, and helps you get ready for interviews.
What it does not do.
- It does not apply for you. See the box above. This is a design commitment, not a current limitation.
- It is not an employment agency, recruiter, or staffing firm. We do not represent you to employers, we have no relationship with the employers whose postings we read, and nobody pays us to place you.
- It does not give legal, immigration, tax or career advice. Questions about work authorisation, sponsorship, criminal history disclosure or what to tell an employer are questions for a qualified professional.
- It does not decide anything about you. It ranks postings and drafts documents. Every decision — what to apply to, what to send, what to disclose — is yours.
3. Your account
- You must be 18 or older.
- One account per person. Do not share it; anyone with access to your email can sign in, because sign-in is by emailed link and there is no password.
- Keep your email account secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account, except to the extent it is our fault.
- Give us accurate information. Tamsin's output is only as good as the résumé and the answers you give it, and a wrong answer on an application form is a problem you will own, not us.
4. Private beta
Tamsin is in private, invitation-only beta. Signing up does not by itself grant access; an invitation does. During beta, features may change or disappear, things may break, and we may contact you about your experience. We will give you reasonable notice before any change that would materially reduce what you have paid for.
5. Plans, payment and cancellation
Tamsin offers monthly subscription plans and a one-off interview preparation purchase. Current prices and what each plan includes are shown on the pricing section and again at checkout before you pay. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax we are required to collect.
- Billing. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive your card number.
- Cancelling. You may cancel at any time from your billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for — you keep what you bought until then.
- Refunds. We do not offer refunds for partial periods. If Tamsin failed in a way that is our fault, email us — we would rather sort it out than stand behind a policy.
- Plan limits. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of searches, packets and other work. Allowances reset each period and do not accumulate without limit. We may apply reasonable technical ceilings to prevent abuse or runaway cost.
- Price changes. We may change prices, but not for a period you have already paid for. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a change affects your renewals, so you can cancel first.
- Failed payment. If a payment fails, your access may pause until it is resolved. Your data is not deleted for non-payment.
6. Acceptable use
Do not:
- upload a résumé or personal details that are not yours, or apply for work as someone else;
- use Tamsin to send employers information you know to be false;
- resell, sublicense or share your access, or use Tamsin to run a service for other people;
- scrape, copy or redistribute the job data Tamsin assembles;
- attempt to bypass plan limits, security controls or row-level access rules, or otherwise reach data that is not yours;
- upload malware, or use Tamsin to break any law.
We may suspend or close an account that does these things. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first.
7. Your content, and what we may do with it
Your content stays yours. Your résumé, your answers, your brief — you own all of it. We claim nothing.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, process and transmit your content solely to operate Tamsin for you: to read it, to send it to our AI provider so it can be read, and to produce the documents you asked for. That licence exists only for as long as your content does, and it ends when you delete it. It does not let us publish it, sell it, market with it, or train anything on it.
What Tamsin writes for you is yours to use. Tailored résumés and cover letters are yours, with no restriction, for as long as you want them. Similar output may be produced for other users, and we make no claim of exclusivity in it.
Tamsin itself — the software, the site, the name and the logo — is ours, and nothing here gives you a licence to it beyond using the service.
How we handle personal data is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.
8. AI output, and what it is worth
Tamsin uses AI models to read postings and write documents. You should understand three things about that:
- It can be wrong. A tailored résumé can misstate a date or overstate a skill; a match score is an opinion, not a fact. Read everything before you send it. Once you submit an application, what is in it is your statement to that employer, not ours.
- It is not deterministic. The same résumé and the same posting can produce different wording on different days.
- It is not advice. Nothing Tamsin generates is legal, immigration, financial or professional advice.
9. What we do not promise
We will do our honest best, and we still will not promise you:
- a job, an interview, or a reply. Tamsin improves how you spend your time. It cannot make an employer hire you;
- every job on the internet. Tamsin reads many sources, not all of them, and job boards change what they allow;
- that a posting is real, current, or accurately described. Postings come from third parties. Some are stale, some are duplicates, some are fictional. Verify before you invest yourself in one;
- uninterrupted or error-free service. We will try, and we are a small operation.
Except where the law does not allow it, Tamsin is provided "as is" and we disclaim the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, or a job you did not get.
Our total liability to you for any claim relating to Tamsin is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US$100.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Some states do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Ending it
You may stop at any time: cancel your subscription, or delete your account from inside the app, which erases your résumé, your packets and your data as described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting is irreversible.
We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if we are required to, or if we discontinue Tamsin. If we discontinue it, we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your data, and we will refund the unused part of anything you prepaid.
Sections 7 (as to ownership), 9, 10 and 12 survive the end of this agreement.
12. Governing law and disputes
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and we each consent to their jurisdiction.
Before filing anything, please email us and give us 30 days to put it right. Most problems are a misunderstanding and we would rather fix it than litigate it.
We do not require you to arbitrate, and we do not ask you to waive a class action. You keep every right you would otherwise have to go to court.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights or what you pay, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Tamsin after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, cancel before they take effect and we will refund the unused part of your current period.
If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still stands. Not enforcing something once does not waive it.
